Job Description

The Medical Representative of Norgine the Netherlands is responsible for the sales of promoted product in his/her territory through effective interaction with health care professionals. The Medical Representative will maintain a current and competent level of knowledge on the product line, to be a reliable source of information to the health care professional in his/her territory.
Requirements/Qualifications: SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
• Fluency in Dutch and advanced English
• Driving licence is mandatory
• (Para)medical/scientific degree (Master's degree preferred)
• Experience in a commercial environment preferred
• You have a strong interest in healthcare
• Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements;
• Key account management experience is desirable

• Problem-analysis and problem solving skills
• Able to work independent and with challenging targets

• Own and prepare territory Key Account Plan, including account situational analysis, stakeholder mapping, strategy, tactics and actions, to meet all objectives relating to revenue and activity
• Develop and implement tactics and actions, according to Key Account Plans in order to reach tactical and strategic objectives and in relationship with Norgine cross-functional teams (e.g. market access, medical teams)
• Take care of reaching his/her sales objective with the available resources
• Facilitate communication and exchange of information between all team members and marketing/medical teams to ensure maximum awareness and share best practice within the business unit
• Achieve an acceptable level of understanding of all relevant training/marketing materials
• Demonstrate full understanding of product strategies, marketing plan and communication objectives
• Develop long term business relationships through regular contact with relevant health care professionals to maximise business opportunities
• Develop KOLs and product champions and maintain a list of them
• Monitor adequately the administration of his/her territory in compliance with company procedures (e.g. updating key lists, filling out detail-talks into MI, expense notes, territory plan etc.) and this within the set deadlines
• Make monthly territory analysis of the promoted products based on in-market date. The Medical Representative should make conclusions and take the necessary actions based on this analysis
• Monitor competitor activity and competitor’s products;
• Actively contribute to the sales meetings by means of group-presentations, participation and/or any other preparations
• Take part on congresses, & symposia, if requested by the management, in order to increase the reputation of Norgine and the Norgine products and report all information to the RSM
• Show flexibility regarding the (changing) needs of the company and/or the market
• Ensure that all activities are compliant with applicable Codes of Practice relating to the promotion of medicines and devices; provision of information to patients and the public and relationships with patient groups
• Keeping himself/herself informed about the required knowledge to do his/her job in a professional and responsible way
